I too still have the "Good Luck" coin at home. I was 8 when the place closed but still have great memories. I grew up in Baraboo when Circus World was still very popular. It is very sad that this iconic place will never be recreated, but it's probably better that it died when it did and not stuck around like Circus World which is now just a shell of what it once was. As nice as Ft. Dells was, it just wouldn't fit in any more, unfortunately. Too much politically correct stuff like Native American portrayals and guns, etc combined with a lack of interest from today's generation (antique cars vs. thrill rides.) If anyone could provide a link to WI Dells images from the 70s & 80s I'd really enjoy seeing them. Stuff like Xanadu and the annual Balloon Rally.

I worked at the totem tower during the summer of '85. I believe at that time it was operated by the same guy that owned the dungeon of horrors downtown. I loved Ft. Dells and had some great memories there.
